A Ballet for Our Time
Founded in 1929, Atlanta Ballet is the official State Ballet Company of Georgia and the largest, self-supported arts organization in the state. When they decided to launch their first new Nutcracker in 20 years, they hired Ideabar to help them own their story.
The Nutcracker title treatment created by Ideabar features a carved Baroque-esque typeface that is complemented by graceful flourishes and swoops that mimic the sweeping movements of ballet. This storybook-style treatment makes a bold statement while also incorporating an array of subtle design touches.
The precision and attention to detail displayed in the Nutcracker ad designs helped convey the essence of the famed ballet and was prominently showcased on digital signs and billboards. By pulling inspiration from the new production (a larger-than-life take on the traditional Nutcracker), we created larger-than-life, experiential marketing pieces.
E-blasts were yet another way in which Ideabar helped Atlanta Ballet unveil the new Nutcracker. Within the first week of tickets being made available to the public, Atlanta Ballet generated more than $500,000 in sales.
Ideabar produced a video, originally presented at a Nutcracker launch event, providing a behind-the-scenes look at this remarkable recreation and revealing how truly exciting the production will be – no one has seen anything like it before.
