A historic retailer gets a makeover
The Anthony family opened its first shoe-and-clothing store in West Palm Beach in 1895 and grew its company to more than a dozen stores across Florida by 2013. That’s when Anthony’s turned to Ideabar for rebranding, the creation of an e-commerce site and digital advertising. The result: a whole new look — and a significant increase in revenue.
The Anthony’s brand refresh began with a more modern-looking logo — just a slight tweak on the company’s longtime logo — and a new tagline.
Ideabar launched Anthony’s into the digital age with the building of an e-commerce site. The website allowed Anthony’s to reach new customers and remain available to its snowbird customers when they flew away from South Florida for the summer.
Ideabar upgraded the look of Anthony’s catalogs with suggestions for photography and a more organized approach to layout. In 2016 alone, Ideabar produced 872 print ads for Anthony’s, 165 eblasts and 20 direct mail pieces.
“Ideabar has taught us a lot about digital advertising,” said Pope Anthony, president of Anthony’s. “They’ve been outstanding teachers as they’ve moved this 122-year-old company into the future.”
